Hi I'm Katherine, founder and creator of Liberty Street Blooms. As a long-time resident of Liberty Village, I have always felt this unique, creative community is the perfect location to dig my roots in a little deeper and open a floral studio.
My creative path began with a BFA at the University of Windsor followed by an MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art in London. While studying abroad and travelling throughout Europe I was inspired by how seamlessly art, culture and nature blend into daily life - flower markets spilling onto streets, food stalls buzzing with energy and city parks alive with people. Over time I've seen this same joyful spirit take root here in Toronto, whether it's the packed restaurants and plazas of Liberty Village or Trinity Bellwood's and Stanley park, full of people on a summer afternoon.
Flowers embody that connection: our love of nature, our love of life, and the fleeting, beautiful moments worth celebrating. Quite simply, FLOWERS MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY.
With a background in photography, sculpture and installation art, as well as over a decade of experience in the floral industry I've always felt most at home in the studio. Liberty Street Blooms reflects that same spirit: a place to experiment, shape ideas and create with my hands. I see floristry as an extension of art and an integral part of how we live and gather. I bring these passions together at Liberty Street Blooms offering floral designs that are authentic, artful and made to leave a lasting impression.
I can't wait to create something beautiful for you!
